Hedge trimmers
For hedges and cypresses of any height: handheld and pole hedge trimmers that reach the impossible, with a clean, precise cut. Petrol and battery powered.

A well-clipped hedge is what gives a garden its structure, and getting there means using the right tool for each height. Handheld hedge trimmers with a short blade are ideal for shrubs and shaped work, while long-blade models let you run straight, even lines without going over the same stretch twice. For cypresses and tall hedges, a telescopic pole trimmer with an articulating head is the safe answer: you reach the top with both feet on the ground and avoid ladders. Hedge trimmer attachments are also available for multi-tool power units, if you already own one.
How to choose
- Choose the blade length by the width and height of the hedge: long for straight runs, short for shaping and detail.
- Look at the tooth spacing, which determines the thickest branch the machine will cut cleanly.
- If you must work above arm height, take the pole rather than the ladder: it is safer and far less tiring.
- Weigh up weight, balance and anti-vibration, and consider battery if you work in residential areas where noise matters.
At Tecomac you can try them in our Palafrugell shop, with petrol and battery models from ECHO and Husqvarna. We sharpen and adjust blades, stock spares and the correct lubricants, and deal with any fault in our own workshop.
